A scammer apparently cloned a girl’s voice using AI in an effort to con her mother out of money. Arizona’s Family claimed that the con artist used phony audio to appear to have abducted the 15-year-old. When Jennifer DeStefano heard her phone ring, the call appeared as unknown, she told Arizona’s Family, a local CBS affiliate news program. She alleges that when she answered it, her 15-year-old daughter was screaming and wailing, saying things like,
