Chargers’ Joey Bosa Out

Chargers edge rusher Joey Bosa had core muscle surgery on Friday and attention will now turn toward when he might be able to return to action this season.

According to ESPN Adam Schefter, defensive end for the Los Angeles Chargers Joey Bosa is expected to
miss eight to ten weeks following surgery on Thursday for a groin tear.
Bosa is unlikely to "proceed working as a top-flight edge rusher," according to Schefter, if and when he
returns later this season.

The 27-year-old is one of the NFL's best pass-rushers when healthy.

A Defensive Rookie of the Year award, four Pro Bowl selections, four seasons with double-digit sack
totals, including 51 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 7 pressured fumbles in 2021, are all on his resume.

With Bosa out, Los Angeles may need to rely more on Morgan Fox and Khalil Mack to anchor the move
rush.Additionally, it is anticipated that Kyle Van Noy and Chris Rumph II will assist in picking up the
pieces.
