MAN CHARGED AFTER DIGGING UP HIS MOTHER’S CORPES AND LIVING WITH IT ON HIS COUCH FOR 13 YEARS

In Poland, a 76-year-old man has been accused of defiling a body. The man allegedly dug up his mother’s mummified corpse and kept it in his house for 13 years. According to Daily Mail, police spokeswoman Małgorzata Koniarska issued a statement regarding the discovery.

“We received a report in connection with the disclosure of the body from a family member of the owner of the apartment. The policemen went to Ul. Rogozina in Radlin. In the part of the house belonging to an elderly man, a mummified corpse was discovered.”

The District Prosecutor’s Office’s Joanna Smorczewska explained how investigators were able to identify the deceased. The mummified body is that of a lady named Jadwiga L., who passed away in January 2010, making her Marian L.’s mother, according to the DNA evidence. It was determined that Jadwiga L.’s cemetery, where she was interred on January 16, 2010, is still unoccupied. The mother’s corpse was probably dug up shortly after it was buried and mummified by the son; the body has been in this home since 2010.
