MASS SHOOTING IN CALIFORNIA LEAVES SEVEN DEAD, 67 YEAR OLD SUSPECT ARRESTED

In Half Moon Bay, deputies responding to a complaint discovered four bodies and a fifth victim with serious injuries at the initial site, and three additional bodies were discovered nearby.

On Monday, a mass shooting in Half Moon Bay, California, claimed the lives of seven individuals. Chunli Zhao, the suspect, was detained after making an effort to turn himself in while driving to a police parking lot.

Chunli Zhao, 67, was the suspect, according to San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus, who also revealed that he was employed at one of the shooting sites. Corpus referred to the locations as nurseries, while other authorities claimed that agricultural employees were employed there. At least one of them was referred to as a mushroom farm by the local media. In Half Moon Bay, deputies responding to a complaint discovered four bodies and a fifth victim with serious injuries at the initial site, and three additional bodies were discovered nearby, according to Corpus.

Recent strong rainstorms in the countryside caused significant damage and had an impact on the area’s foreign employees, according to agricultural worker groups. In the three weeks after Christmas, a succession of atmospheric rivers around the state claimed the lives of 20 individuals.

Two plainclothes officers and one uniformed deputy forced the man out of his car in the Bay Area arrest, which was captured on camera by ABC 7 and shown there. When the suspect emerged, he was knocked to the ground and looked over for weapons. With long weapons, many armed cops in uniform rushed to the scene. Although the suspect was helping the investigation, a motive hadn’t yet been determined, Corpus added. She stated that a semi-automatic weapon was discovered in his vehicle.
