META ANNOUNCES THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.’S VIRTUAL REALITY CONCERT CELEBRATING HIS 50th BIRTHDAY

After the Dec. 16 debut, fans can stream the experience on-request in augmented simulation with Meta Mission television.

One of the most lyrical rappers to ever touch a microphone will perform virtually next month. Even though Christopher Wallace died 25 years ago, The Notorious B.I.G, his rap persona, will perform in the Meta World. Meta Quest claims that on December 16, “BIGGIE IS BACK!”

If he hadn’t been shot and killed in California on March 1997, Biggie would have turned 50 this year. The Notorious B.I.G. Sky’s The Limit: Meta is working with Willingie, Gunpowder & Sky, and the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. to celebrate his life with a never-before-seen performance: A Concert in Virtual Reality. People who have never seen Biggie perform live will have the opportunity to do so within the Meta Horizon Worlds next month. In a hyper-realistic avatar, they can join him in The Brook, a virtual Brooklyn from the 1990s. Users can get a glimpse into Biggie’s day-to-day life there.

 

Toure, a journalist and writer, will use a narrative to guide users through the journey. Biggie’s past works will be performed at the concert. The Lox, Latto, Nardo Wick, and Lil’ Cease are among the featured artists who also appear. Additionally, a special set will be performed by DJ Clark Kent.
