Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker are facing legal issues as a result of their restaurant being involved in a shooting. A woman named Kiya Humphries, on behalf of herself and her daughter Tammy Johnson, sued Kandi’s restaurant, the owners of the shopping center where the spot is located, and the security team hired by the center, according to court documents. Humphries claimed that she entered Old Lady Gang on February 14, 2020, with her 14-year-old daughter and relatives. Humphries claimed in the suit that Johnson was in the waiting area near the front of the restaurant, One of the family members heard a loud fight in the parking lot outside the restaurant before entering.

The suit read, “A man wearing a red track suit entered Old Lady Gang while waiting to be seated and was near the front of the restaurant.”A second man entered Old Lady Gang shortly thereafter.
“The man wearing the red tracksuit began shooting,” the suit continued. Kiya Humphries sustained a wound to the right calves.

Humphries stated that her daughter needed multiple surgeries, therapy, and counseling for her gunshot wound. The incident occurred at Kandi’s 2018 opening of her second Old Lady Gang. The family argued in the lawsuit that the property owners should have been aware that more security was required due to the numerous crimes that had occurred in the past. They claimed that numerous assaults, robberies, and crimes involving firearms occurred prior to the shooting in 2020. Humphries claimed that her family was unaware of the shopping center’s string of violent offenses. Despite the shopping center’s long history, Kandi’s company is accused of being negligent in failing to provide adequate security. Kiya family claims she suffers from depression and PTSD due to the incident and want charges brought to the owners.
