Officer James Brennand of San Antonio shot Erik Cantu ten times with his gun. The vehicle that Cantu
was driving was identical to the one he had attempted to stop the day before.
Cantu, who is recovering, has been charged with evading detention and assaulting a police officer.
Brennand has lost his job.
According to the police report, the officer Mr Brennard ordered the two teens in the to get out of it
while pointing a gun at them.

The 17-year-old driver, Erik Cantu, started driving with the door open.
After that, Brennand opened fire on the adolescent, who, according to the police, continued to try to
drive away. Cantu was shot multiple times and is still in the hospital. There was no harm to the other passenger.
