The 61-year-old apparently encountered law enforcement at a petrol station early on Sunday morning, according to the publication. According to the Burbank Police Department, the 61-year-old was taken into custody early Sunday. They claim that the singer had already stopped at a gas station, so no one bothered to pull him over. His car’s expired tags were something the police officers observed. And add that they saw an “expandable metal baton in plain sight” when they drew near the car. The cops searched the vehicle further since the baton is regarded as an unlawful weapon. Then, they allegedly discovered “suspected drugs” and pepper spray. Additionally, authorities discovered that DeBarge did not have a current driver’s license.

He was detained and charged with several offenses. Possession of a controlled substance, possession of a leaded cane or baton, and possession of drug paraphernalia are among the allegations. Authorities believe the “suspected” drug is heroin, according to TMZ’s addition. According to the source, DeBarge paid his $25,000 bond and will return to court in March.
