STEVE SAFARI VISITS WCT HOOPS. IS THIS VANCOUVER’s PREMIER YOUTH BACKETBALL TRAINING ORGANISATION?

WCT HOOPS is a youth basketball training organization that aims to develop the skills and athleticism of young players while providing them with a fun and engaging environment. The programs offered at West Coast Training Hoops is an excellent choice for families looking to keep their young basketball players busy over the holidays.

SteveSafari visits Vancouver’s premier High School basketball training organization WCT HOOPS based at St. Thomas Aquinas in North Vancouver BC. WCT HOOPS is a youth basketball training organisation that aims to develop the skills and athleticism of young players while providing them with a fun and engaging environment. Young basketball players are coached by Ransford Brempong and Jarryn Skeete, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge in the game. Ransford played for the Canadian National Team and had a successful career playing professionally in Europe, while Skeete played college basketball at the University of Buffalo and has played professionally in Europe and South America.

SteveSafari was able to capture the fundamentals of WCT in in an extensive 35 minute video. The video focuses on Coach Ramsford who showcased his multitasking skills as he answered SteveSafari’s interview questions in great detail whilst giving direction to the young athletes and communicating with his colleague Skeete and keeping the program flowing. The video catches young ambitious athletes of British Columbia Canada receiving lessons on fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense. The young athletes are not only receiving on court lessons, they are getting some life lessons that come with positive mentorship. The video clearly shows us that WCT it is more than just a basketball training center – it’s an opportunity for young players to learn important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership. Ransford and Skeete are committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment, where all players are encouraged to work hard and support each other. They believe that basketball is more than just a sport – it’s a tool for personal growth and development.  This is a way for them to give back to basketball which has given them success, privilege and pride.
