STUDENT FOUND DEAD INSIDE CAR AT JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY IN MISSISSIPPI

Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and Jackson State University Campus Enforcement are investigating the murder on the university's campus as a homicide.

A student was discovered dead at Jackson State University (JSU), with the Hinds County coroner spotted carrying a corpse into her SUV from the trunk of a car parked in a campus parking lot, which was subsequently proven to be that of a young guy who was shot to death. Flynn Brown was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound around 8 a.m. in a parking lot on campus. C.J. LeMaster of WLBT tweeted a snapshot of the situation as it occurred Friday afternoon. The photograph shows a section of the JSU parking lot taped off with yellow police tape, with the coroner vehicle visible.

A student was detained, according to the parent, but there was no confirmation as of Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and Jackson State University Campus Enforcement are investigating the murder on the university’s campus as a homicide. The incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. in a parking lot between Dixon Hall and Campbell College Suites.

Flynn Brown played football in New Jersey at Mount Olive High School before going off to college. His former coach, Brian O’ Connor, announced his death on Twitter. After Brown graduated from high school in 2019, he played football for Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania before beginning college at Jackson State in 2022.
